Dealing with period and menstrual symptoms while on beach vacation?

i am 18 years old and going on a beach vacation with my family on saturday. The car ride itself is going to be eight hours and i have an especially heavy flow and severe cramping. I started today and it will probably last until at least next thursday. I never get acne except right before my period and as fate would have it my body decided to freak out and i got a breakout on my chest and back, which never happens to me..i am very nervous about having my period at the beach because my flow is so heavy (i leak through a super plus tampon within two hours for my first three days).any advice on dealing with my period while at the beach and getting rid of this dreadful and unfortunate body breakout would be appreciated. thank you
