Do people "hold" telescopically sighted rifles on a target very differently?

Believe it or not, a gun starts recoiling before bullet leaves the barrel, so the barrel is not pointing where it was when you pulled the trigger. Depending on how they react to the recoil, the gun may have different POIs with different people shooting it.
