A question that occurred to me on my journey to atheism?

Whats wrong with doing the right thing ? Since when is that such a negative ? In Genesis 3, their are 2 trees presented. The tree of life (Christ), and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Satan). Eve was tempted by the tree of good and evil who promised to enlighten her and make her as a "god" if she partook of his "fruit" (a euphemism for sexual intercouse). Christ and His teachings are spiritual, not of the flesh. Satan is a liar, and his knowledge is unholy. If thats what you prefer, then have at it. God cares, but He isn't a beggar. He has servants that do love Him and earn His blessings and protection. Christ cut the trail and did the heavy lifting, all we have to do is walk it. If not, then have a good trip atleast. Just know you won't have God's blessings, inheritance, or promises.
