What is a sentencing court date mean?

My ex husband broke his probation by getting charged with luring children over the internet. I am in the process of filing for custody, and he took a deal of coercion? (Please excuse spelling) and now has a sentencing court date. Does this mean he is going to jail? he spend 30 days in jail for breaking probation. Which involved domestic violence with me. He also told me he is filing a motion to disolve and I'm not sure what that means! Please help a single mom out! Lawyer is on vacation!
