To get a handle on this I would look both Peter (Pyotr) and Catherine (Katrina) up in the index of Durant's The Story of Civilization: Volume 10: Rousseau and Revolution. New York: Simon and Schuster: 1967. I would also check the bibliography he gives chapter-by-chapter, along with footnotes and end notes.
