What is my catylic converter made of on a 1994 1.9 liter saturn?

There's a lot of stuff involved, but basically it's a stainless steel shell full of either ceramic pellets or a ceramic honeycomb form. The ceramic sub-straight is covered with a terribly thin layer of the catalyst metal, that at the moment I can't remember what it is. This catalyst, when heated & mixed with gasoline vapours & some other chemicals ( pollutants ), allows the other stuff to burn more completely then it would in just the engine. During this burning, tho, the catalyst is not consumed.
