Why do I get this constricting pain that feels like it's coming from my heart?

Sometimes, at random times in the day, I get this really painful almost constricting feeling in my heart when I breathe in. When I exhale, the pain is gone but the more I inhale, the pain increases. It's dreadful. It only lasts a couple minutes at the most, but still. What is it? And what is causing it?
